Scalp Micropigmentation for Thinning Hair

Less visible scalp. The impression of fuller hair.

When hair becomes less dense, the contrast between your hair and scalp can make thinning more noticeable.

A density treatment uses scalp micropigmentation among existing hair to help reduce that contrast. The aim is a fuller-looking appearance, rather than new hair growth.

An approach for men and women

Thinning can appear in different ways: a wider parting, more visible scalp at the crown or reduced density across a broader area.

The right approach depends on where the thinning occurs, how much hair remains and the condition of your scalp. A consultation helps establish whether SMP is an appropriate option.

Work with the hair you have

A density treatment is designed to complement existing hair.

It does not thicken individual strands or add physical volume. Instead, it changes the appearance of the scalp underneath, helping it look less prominent through the hair.

The amount and distribution of your remaining hair will affect what can be achieved.

A note on hair loss

If you have unexplained or changing hair loss, seek medical advice about the cause rather than treating SMP as a substitute for assessment.

Questions about density SMP

Density SMP is intended to work among existing hair. Whether it suits your current hair length and coverage needs to be assessed individually.
It may help reduce the contrast in suitable areas, but the amount of remaining hair and the pattern of thinning matter.
No. Different causes and patterns of hair loss need different consideration. A consultation is necessary before recommending treatment.
